Food for your Skin

Body scrubs are great for a quick mini spa at home.  I love how the mixtures with coconut oil, sugar, salt and various other ingredients smell and how smooth  they leave my skin after the shower.

It's a self indulgence that can easily turn into an expensive addiction.  Body Scrubs vary in price, they come in all shapes and sizes.  I've seen them for $6 at Walgreens and $60 at Sophora. And people buy this stuff.  I think they're onto something.

What is old is new.  My grandmother used to mix this concoction of lemon, salt and oil and tell me to scrub my feet with it.  Feet...uhhh...ewww, doesn't sound too glamouros. But I think she was onto something.

If my grandma used homemade remedies 40 years ago when it was all she could afford to keep skin smooth, I can do it now using  organic ingredients - the new cool. My new hobby, just in time to hand out as Christmas gifts and who knows, maybe I'm onto something....
